Florida 2011- Day 7 Mosi

After waking up early, we checked out of the hotel and headed to the Mosi Science center. My only regret was that we did not have more time there. The place is fantasic. They had this incredible kids area. Where they go to race in a wheel chair, lie on a bed of nails, play checkers with life size pieces and jump into a massive velcro wall. The main attractions were great including riding a bike on a wire suspended in mid air (I actually did this too) and many exhibits on the body and disasters. Again, I wish we had a full day there. We left early to head back for mincha and to savta for some spare ribs and an early night.

Florida 2011- Day 6- Tampa Zoo

After driving forever to get to minyan (Tampa Traffic is terrible) and meeting Josh Flug, we headed off for the Zoo. It is a very nice zoo. I learned from this trip that my passed for the other zoo and the muesum pass only allows for 1/2 off not fully off but it was still a savings. The kids had a blast with the rides and the animals. They all took a Camel ride.
We went from there for ice cream and Debra and the kids went to the movies while I went off to find a minyan. The minyan took longer than the movie (leave it to Chabad) and we called it a early night at the Day's inn. They saw a movie called Gulliver's Travels.

Florida 2011- Day 5- Imaginarium

We left early to head towards Tampa. Since Ticket prices for Busch Gardens were out of sight, we planned a few other trips. We started out in Imaginarium. It is a cute place with 2 very short 3d films. If we had to do it again, I would have skipped this attraction. The kids liked the movies but the things they had could have been done cheaper in other places. We drove from there into tampa and checked into the Day's inn. We watched the Jet game and they lost so we went to sleep sad.

Florida 2011- Shabbat Day 4

Shabbat was very nice. We spent it at Century Village with Uncle Shelly, Aunt Joanie, Karen/Duvie and kids with Gabby and Shana. There is about a thousand people in that shul. We saw Rapp and Wartowsky among others. It was nice. After Shabbat Roy and Aunt Sydell came over.

Florida 2011- Day 3- Boomers

After davening, the Daf and Swimming, we headed off to Boomers for a day of fun. We made a quick stop to see the Bramsons and Zeiglers in Deerfield Beach at Century Village. Our last experience at Boomers was not good because the kids were just too little but this was a totally different experience. We bought an all day pass which allowed for unlimited bumper boats, go carts and video games. We also played a game of laser tag, mini golf. Since the kids could not drive the go carts without an adult we both got really good at it. The kids all got soaked in the boats as they had water guns attached. Eli was our laser champion and Yoni our air hockey pro. They all cheated in golf so that was cut short. It was a fun day.
Debra and I ended off with a night out ourselves to a restaurant called Asia. It was nice but the Moouse was the best I ever had.

Florida 2011- Day 2- Swimming and Playmobil

After waking up (feeding the ducks- a tradition at the Spivak Florida home) and doing the daf with the boys (we are now doing Amud Yomi, starting in Brachot. We have completed the first 12 pages), we headed off to get our ids and the pool.

From there we went to a toy store play place called Playmobil. It was really a lot of fun. I made this whole off to war scene in a Roman Forum and Yoni played with Pirates, Yehuda Egypt and E's made a fantasy scene. Not bad for a $1 each plus kevetching on buying things at the end.
From there we ran shopping, Mincha/Maariv, dinner and to sleep.

Florida 2011- Tuesday- We are here

After working most of the day, we picked up the kids and headed off to the airport. Due to the snow and icy rain, our flight was delayed for 2 hours. It was not so bad. Yoni is reading Harry Potter book 5 on my new kindle (I have not gotten a chance to use it but he can't put it down due to Harry Potter. It was easier to bring it and load it up with the series than carry those gigantic books). Yehuda is listening to book 3 on mp3 and I had to entertain Eli and Ephy while Debra worked at the airport on her laptop.
We finally got here and rented the car and made it to Savta/Saba's apt exhausted. After planning a bit we all headed off to sleep around midnight
